Last night my dad happened to be driving through Wolf Creek from Bozeman and we decided it would be a great opportunity to get out and fish for a couple hours before he had to return home to Great Falls. It was a great float with the new Clacka Eddy which I felt rowed well for the first time I used it. Tons of fish rising to the thick clouds of caddis but also did well nymphing. Had the first fish on in the first ten minutes using a size 16 x-caddis with a cinnamon body followed by a tan #18 cdc caddis emerger. Also, had some takes with an MRO high vis caddis #14-16 when using dries.
A little bit later we switched to nymphing and had success with the #14 tung dart with a pink lightning bug dropper.
Overall, it was a great way to end my weekend and its always great to spend a little father and son time.
